PLAYGROUND AND RECREATION BOARD

Meeting Schedule:	Second and Fourth Thursday of each month
Meeting Location:	City Recreation office – basement of City Hall
Meeting Time:	7:00 p.m.
# of Members:	Nine (9)
Length of Term:	Five (5) years

There is established a playground and recreation board, which board shall possess all of the powers and be subject to all of the responsibilities under the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/11-95-1 et seq.

The playground and recreation board shall consist of nine members to be appointed by the mayor with the consent of the council.

The playground and recreation board shall serve without compensation.

The term of office of the members of the playground and recreation board shall be five years or until their successors are appointed and have been qualified except that the members of the board first appointed shall be appointed for such terms that the terms of no more than two members shall expire annually thereafter. If a vacancy occurs in the office of any board member, the mayor shall appoint a successor to serve the unexpired term.
