City of Ottawa, Illinois

2016 City of Ottawa Electrical Licenses expire on December 31, 2016. Licenses can be renewed any time after December 1, 2016. All renewal requests made after March 1, 2017 will be charged an additional $25.00 late fee.

All new and renewal license submittals must include the following:

  1. A $100 annual license fee, check or money order. Credit cards can only be used if paying in person. After March 1, 2017, a $25.00 late fee will be added.
  1. A copy of the license holder’s General Liability insurance coverage showing the City of Ottawa as Certificate Holder. Or, a written note verifying the current employer and that the applicant does not do electrical work outside of that employment.

A photo-copy of a current valid driver’s license or a photo ID that will be incorporated into the 2017 license.

All three items must be submitted together and mailed or dropped off at:

Those wishing to have a company name included with license holder’s name on the license must be sure to include that information too.
