CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION

Meeting Schedule: As needed
Meeting Location: City Hall
Meeting Time: To be determined
# of Members: Five (5)
Length of Term: 3 years

One member of the Civil Service Commission shall be appointed for one year, two members for two years, and two members for three years. The terms of the members of the commission shall thereafter be three years. Members shall serve until their successors are appointed and qualified. In the case of a vacancy, the successor shall be appointed as provided by law. No more than three members may be from one political party.

A majority of the members of the Civil Service Commission shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. The civil service commission shall elect the necessary officers and make the rules to carry out the purposes of the statutes and for appointments and removals in accordance with its provisions and shall have and exercise all the powers and perform all the duties and obligations conferred or imposed on the commission by statute.
