CHANGE OF LOCATION FOR CITY'S WATER BILL CASHIER

City of Ottawa Finance Commissioner Dan Aussem has announced a change of office location for the City’s Water Bill Cashier.  Starting January 2, the cashier will begin working in the Water Treatment Plant office located at 828 East Norris Drive (the northwest corner of East Norris Drive and Champlain Street).   Customers wishing to pay their water bills at that location will enter the parking lot from the Champlain Street side of the building.  Drop-off boxes at City Hall and in the Woodward Parking Lot will continue to be available.  Water customers can also pay their bills at any of the First National Bank locations or have them paid automatically by signing up for the “auto-pay” direct withdraw.

Although City Hall will no longer have the receipting system to accept any cash payments, check payments can still be dropped off there.  Those paying in cash will need to use the East Norris Drive facility.

Aussem noted that the new location is handicapped accessible which will be most welcomed by those who have difficulty climbing the stairs outside City Hall.  He also urged customers to sign up for the automatic withdrawal so there will be no need to drop off or mail payments.
